Personal Fitness Profile and Consultation

This interactive assessment provides baseline measurements of individual vital signs, body composition, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, muscular strength and endurance. MicroFit identifies problem areas as well as indicates your strong points. Each component is evaluated utilizing state-of-the-art computer software to measure your current fitness level. Results are stored in the MicroFit memory and compared to previous evaluations, offering an ideal way to monitor your progress during this and future stays.

Exercise Prescription

Work with one of the Fitness Specialists to create a workout plan and routine that you can follow at home.  With the Exercise Prescription you will receive an initial consultation/assessment to accommodate your specific needs, goals, and limitations with the specific tools that you have available.  You will also receive a follow-up consultation where your specialist will provide a weekly schedule and an illustrated workout routine.

Private Pilates Reformer

The Pilates Reformer provides an excellent core and flexibility workout. It is often thought that the machine is used for advanced participants, but in fact, it started as a machine used in rehabilitation. There are many exercises that can be done on the reformer to encourage core strength and flexibility that may not be possible for some participants to do on the floor. This individual session is provided by a certified trainer to guide you through a safe, effective workout designed according to your individual needs and challenges.

One-on-one yoga, much like personal fitness training, is tailored to your specific needs. A 50-minute session will allow you to work privately with a certified yoga teacher to create a practice that makes sense for your body and your level of experience. TRX Suspension Training

TRX, which stands for "Total Resistance eXercise" is a suspension system that promotes functional strength, improved flexibility, balance and core stability. The simple format of the TRX focuses upon body weight and gravity; thus this is the ideal trainer for all your at-home and/or on-the-go workouts. In this small group training session, you and your FUNctional friends will learn the basic exercises of the TRX system. Take a break from traditional strength training and come experience the suspension system that has been used by everyone from professional athletes and military personnel to seniors as well as those looking for a different, better and smarter way to work out.

Private Rowing Session

Rowing is a low-impact motion that challenges the entire body. With proper technique, rowing can work all the major muscle groups of the core, arms and legs in a balanced approach. This 30 min session provides you with the personalized instruction you need to be confident that you are utilizing proper and purposeful technique, thus getting the most out of your workout. Included in the session is your personal concept 2 rowing log card which tracks your workouts and monitors your progress on all concept 2 rowing machines.

Thai Yoga Session

Thai Yoga is performed on the floor or low, cushioned table. The practitioner uses his or her thumbs, palms, elbows, knees, and feet to apply a combination of acupressure, gentle rocking and twisting, joint and spine mobilizations and assisted yoga stretches. Using bodyweight and a steady, meditative rhythm, Thai yoga looks and feels like a graceful dance between giver and receiver. The assisted yoga postures direct the intensity of the stretching and pressure points. Movements are flowing and harmonious, creating a deeply soothing yet energizing experience.
