Bob Wright, M.A.T. - Director of Education

Bob's goal is to provide Guests with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions on personal health habits. Bob presents lectures focused on nutrition, weight loss management and disease prevention. Bob has been educating Guests at Hilton Head Health for over 30 years. He holds a Master's degree in Health Education from the University of South Carolina.

Lisette Cifaldi, MSW, LMSW -  Director of Behavioral Health

Lisette provides individual and group counseling on the mind-body connection, covering topics ranging from stress management to body image. A Lowcountry native, Lisette earned her degrees in Psychology and Social Work from the University of South Carolina while also receiving training in Mind/Body medicine from Harvard Mind/Body Medical Institute. Her diverse experiences in business travel, management and privately owned businesses not only give Lisette a professional background that relates to many, but also a personal one.

Felicia Hackett, R.D. - Registered Dietitian

Felicia graduated from Syracuse University with a BS in Nutrition and earned her MBA in General Management from Dominican University. Felicia has been a Registered Dietitian for 3 years. She began her career in Long Term Care with chronic disease management and menu planning. Her most recent experience included diabetes management, specifically related to insulin pump therapy. Felicia is originally from Buffalo, NY but always dreamed of living by the beach; now, with Hilton Head Health, that dream has come true.

John Lippitt, M.S., ACE - Fitness Coach

Graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelors in Exercise Physiology and a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology, John spent the first part of his professional career in cardiac/pulmonary rehab. After 1.5 years, he obtained his ACE certification and has compiled hundreds of hours of personal training and group exercise class instruction over the past 5 years. John has completed multiple triathlons and enjoys teaching kickboxing at Hilton Head Health. His in-depth experience and education make him an ideal Fitness Coach.

Chris Varano, B.S., AFPA - Fitness Coach / Pilates Instructor

A graduate of Western Michigan University, Chris has been influential in the fitness industry for over 15 years. She was the fitness coordinator for Greenville Hospital Systems, where she oversaw day-to-day operations including cardiac rehabilitation. She's made her mark as a personal trainer, Pilates instructor, and group exercise leader. Chris joined Hilton Head Health in 2005 and became a full-time trainer in the LOSE Well program in 2014. She's logged thousands of hours helping guests shed pounds through customized cardio, strength and core conditioning classes.

David Chesworth, B.S., ACSM - Fitness Coach

David is responsible for group fitness classes and personal training sessions. David graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine and a Wellness Coach through Wellcoaches School of Coaching. David’s experience includes BGSU Strength Conditioning Assistant Coach.

Camila Pacheco, B.A., IFTA, ACE - Fitness Coach

Camila is responsible for group fitness classes and personal training sessions. Camila graduated from Unitri with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Social Communications. Originally from Brazil, she began her dance training and was part of a company at a competitive level. After moving to the US in 2006, Camila continued her training as a Dance Instructor in New York City and Charlotte. She has over seven years' experience teaching all different styles of dance including Zumba, Barre and Hip Hop. She is a certified group exercise instructor and personal trainer through IFTA and ACE. She is also a certified TRX Trainer.

Karen Verechia, RYT - Yoga Instructor

Karen is a certified and registered yoga alliance instructor through the Asheville Yoga Center. Known for her passionate and inspirational style of teaching, she blends a flow of yoga practice with concise alignment and provides individualized attention with specific exercise modifications. Continuing her education last year in Costa Rica, she attended a Thai Yoga Certification Retreat. Karen also teaches a college course at USCB and enjoys sharing the yoga experience with her university students.

Suzanne Brown - Fitness Instructor

Suzanne has been a certified fitness instructor at Hilton Head Health since 2004. With a certification in group fitness from the American Fitness Professionals and Associates, Suzanne teaches a variety of classes including aqua fitness. Her favorite classes to teach are Treading and Fitball Aerobics.

Alyssa Petro - Fitness Instructor

Alyssa Petro has been on Hilton Head Island since 2008. She has been dancing Latin and Ballroom styles of dance for the past 12 years. She has been a certified Zumba, Zumbatomic, Zumba Gold and Aqua Zumba instructor since 2011. She also holds a certification in Personal Training from the American Council on Exercise, Barre certification from the Pilates Sports Center and a water fitness certification from WaterArt. At Hilton Head Health, you will find Alyssa teaching many of the dance classes offered, including BarreFit, DanceFusion, Zumba, and one of her favorites: Aquazumba.  

Louise Lund - Fitness Instructor

Louise is a Certified Group Fitness Instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, as well as a Certified Personal Trainer. She has been working in the fitness industry for over 25 years. Louise specializes in safe instruction for multiple populations. Louise obtained a B.S. in psychology from USC and has worked in fitness throughout her career.

Judy Caramello - Fitness Instructor

Judy has over 20 years of experience in the Health and Wellness Field. She recently retired from the American Heart Association to get back to her original passion, group fitness. Judy teaches a variety of classes at Hilton Head Health including: Water Pilates, Barre, Fitball and more. Judy is barre certified by Booty Barre, water fitness certified by Water Art and certified in Pilates by Pilates Body Mind. Along with her fitness certifications, Judy holds a Bachelors of Fine Art from the University of Arizona.


Chef Hicham Elmadi - Executive Chef - True

Born and Raised in Casablanca, Morocco, Chef Hicham has been in love with cooking since childhood. After graduating from culinary school in 1998, he worked in fine restaurants around the world, including Spain, Italy, and France. Fluent in five languages, he eventually moved to the US to join the exciting Atlanta culinary scene. Chef Hicham specializes in preparing all styles of Mediterranean cuisine, including, of course, Moroccan fare. His expertise and skills are uniquely suited to share his enthusiasm for healthy, natural food prepared from locally sourced, sustainable ingredients.

Chef Karla Williams - Executive Chef - Healthy Kitchen

Chef Karla provides cooking demonstrations and leads hands-on classes. In addition, she teaches part-time fitness classes. Karla holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Science and is a graduate from The Chef's Academy in Indianapolis, Karla's past experience includes Culinary Intern here at H3, as well as Sous Chef at Kona Grill in Carmel, Indiana.

Chef Carrie Adams - Assistant Chef - Healthy Kitchen

Chef Carrie was born and raised in Milwaukie, OR, birthplace of the Bing cherry and suburb of Portland. Her culinary inspiration was formed by her childhood experiences dining at small, fascinating restaurants that served a bounty of local produce. In 2008, she moved three thousand miles to Providence Rhode Island to earn a degree in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales University. In the fall of 2011, she trained under H3’s team of talented Chefs. Her skills and creativity are found on display during events in the H3 Healthy Kitchen.

Cara Swanson - Director of Food and Beverage

Graduate of George Mason University with a MFA in Education and BA in English, Cara has worked in the restaurant industry her entire adult life. She most recently worked for The Westin in Hilton Head, South Carolina and Maui, Hawaii as the Food and Beverage Manager. In addition to her passion for food, she has been certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers.


Jill Boyd - V.P. Hospitality

In 2001, Jill relocated to Hilton Head Island from Philadelphia, PA. Jill brings over 20 years of hospitality experience to Hilton Head Health. When she joined the team in 2013, she led the design and renovation of our dining room and assisted in menu development to help culminate the True culinary experience. She provides an exceptional guest experience with a Philadelphia flare with a touch of Southern hospitality.

Jessica Brantley - V.P. Programs

Jessica has been on the H3 team for almost a decade, Jessica’s held positions in our Program as well as management in several areas of operations. She now oversees daily operations and program development. With a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from the Honors College of Ball State University, Jessica is a certified Health Fitness Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine, a certified Mat and Reformer Pilates Instructor, and a Functional Training Specialist.

Kelly Perron - Spa Manager

Kelly earned her Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Parks and Leisure Services from Central Michigan University. She began working at Hilton Head Health in 2011 in the Guest Services department and since has held numerous positions. As the Spa Manager, Kelly is responsible for overseeing day to day operations, staff trainings, menu development and Spa events. Her favorite part about The Indigo Spa is how we help people feel better and more relaxed!

Jeremy Gonsalves - Rooms Manager

Jeremy is originally from Marshfield, MA and has over 10 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a B.S. in Hospitality Management with a concentration on Adventure, Sport and Nature Tourism. Not only does he love the beautiful Hilton Head weather, he loves meeting new Guests each week from all over the world.

Kylia Granlund - Front Desk Coordinator

Originally from Mount Pleasant, Michigan, Kylia joined the Hilton Head Health team in 2014. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Parks, and Leisure Services with a concentration in Outdoor Recreation from Central Michigan University. She loves meeting and getting to know all of our new guests, helping them plan out their stay and making their experience at H3 the best possible. During her free time she enjoys reading, kayaking, biking and enjoying the beautiful beaches of Hilton Head.

Dot Young - Program Administrative Assistant

Dot plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations in Program Services. Dot is responsible for distributing the daily and weekly schedules. She has been been part of the H3 family for over 15 years. She holds a B.S. degree in Office Administration and Management from South Carolina State University.

Adam Martin - V.P. Marketing

Adam graduated from the University of Florida and has been with Hilton Head Health since the Fall of 2005. He's held numerous positions in the company and is now responsible for helping facilitate H3's growth.
