DIABETES + Enhancement

In addition to the balanced meals and fitness options offered in the Healthy Lifestyle™ program, diabetics attending this week will also benefit from sessions related to signs, symptoms and complications of diabetes, as well as the Diabetic Exchange System.
YOGA RETREAT Workshop
September 16th - 19th, 2010
Whether you are a yoga enthusiast or simply interested in learning the techniques, this is the perfect workshop for you! During this three-day workshop, facilitated by Yoga Instructor,
Karen Verechia, you will be completely immersed into the world of yoga. You will have the opportunity to practice a wide array of yoga poses, while experiencing and learning about all of its health benefits. This is the work of a lifetime and it begins on the mat!
HEALTHY TRANSITIONS: OVERCOMING EMOTIONAL EATING Workshop
September 30th - October 2nd, 2010
This three-day workshop, led by Guest Facilitator
Johanna Smith-Ellis, will give you the
tools and support needed to regain control of your eating. You will have the opportunity to explore the many ways your emotions and everyday stressors can affect your relationship with food and learn a variety of mindful techniques that are key to
overcoming these self-sabatoging eating patterns. (Limited to 10 participants.)
FIT WEEK Specialty Week
October 17th - 24th, 2010
FIT Week is designed for ALL fitness levels and incorporates a number of inspiring and unique fitness activities into our regular Healthy Lifestyle program. This week is not only packed with adventures and achievements, but also camaraderie and group support - which is by far one of the most memorable parts of the experience. Finally, the focus of FIT Week is to prepare you for your transition home; therefore, it includes numerous lectures focusing on our core components of exercise, nutrition and behavior management.
