Hilton Head Health weight loss retreat incorporates the mind/body connection essential to self-awareness and a peaceful existence.  At our weight loss retreat, spa Guests participate in self-reflection and centering activities that encourage awareness of the Individual's need for change.  Through Group Discussions facilitated by our Health Specialists, you will explore the methods to achieve the change needed for successful diet and weight loss.

The interactive Group Discussions at Hilton Head Health weight loss spa and retreat will empower you to:

  • Understand the effects of self-defeating thoughts and behaviors
  • Identify obstacles to overcome binge, compulsive and emotional eating

These group forums provide an environment of support from other spa Guests through topics such as body image, life transitions and self-discovery.  Whether through connecting with others, a series of self-revelations during discussion, an insightful moment while practicing yoga or a moment of peace on a beach walk, you will have ample opportunity to evaluate what matters in your life.

Sample Seminars/Group Forums:

  • Improving Your Body Image: Explore how to improve your relationship with your body by changing negative thoughts and focusing on positive physical experiences.
  • Stress Eating: Examine how you use food to cope with stress and other emotions, an identify healthier ways to cope.
  • Craving Control: Discover how to resist your food cravings by changing your thoughts and behaviors.
  • Resisting Social Pressure: Empower yourself to resist social pressure to eat unwise foods or skip your exercise.  Explore strategies to respond to sabotage.
  • Slips and Relapse Prevention: This session is designed to help guests "stay on track."  Strategies for preventing a lapse from becoming a relapse are discussed.
  • Relaxation Techniques: Learn and practice several relaxation techniques, including abdominal breathing, guided imagery, and progressive muscle relaxation.

Along with participating in group discussions, you will receive a 45-minute consultation with an H3 Health Specialist to review your current health status and habits, as well as establish realistic health goals.
