Karla Williams is the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director at Hilton Head Health. Chef Karla instructs cooking classes, develops Hilton Head Health’s seasonal menus and recipes, and oversees the Culinary Department. She received her Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts from the Chef’s Academy in Indianapolis and her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science from Kaplan University.
Chef Karla began her career in food and beverage working at a Pan-Asian American fusion restaurant in Indianapolis, Indiana and, over a span of six years, finished as Sous Chef. In order to meld her love for food and nutrition, Karla relocated to H3 and worked her way from Culinary Intern to Executive Chef. Chef Karla has been featured on several national media platforms including; Fox and Friends, Dr. Oz, Home and Family Show, Shape Magazine, The Good Life Magazine, and Eat This Not That. In 2016, Chef Karla’s Hilton Head Health cookbook was launched, featuring 40 of H3’s most popular recipes.
Chef Karla is passionate about creating flavorful, nutritious, satisfying meals. She loves sharing simple tips that make replicating our meals at home a breeze. In addition to working as a chef, Karla competes in local CrossFit competitions with her husband and enjoys the outdoors with her two dogs; Lucy and Goose.
