Crunchy foods tend to be very appealing and many of us try to incorporate them into our meals. There have been many theories around why we are drawn to crunchy foods. Regardless of why crunchy food is appealing, it is important to choose the right kind of crunch.

 

“Many guests come up to me and say that they just ‘gotta have the crunch,” said Felicia Spence, H3’s registered Dietitian. Felicia always encourages guests to trade the highly processed foods for healthy, natural ingredients. If you love crunchy foods like popcorn, chips, and crackers; try swapping them for healthy crunchy snacks like apples, carrots, or a delicious salad. 

 

To really satisfy your craving for crunchy foods, try H3’s Spring Salad. “The spring salad is filled with yummy crunchy and nutritious ingredients including crispy lettuce and crunchy pistachios,” said Felicia.
