Trying to fit exercise into your daily routine can be a bit daunting, if not overwhelming. However, if you make an effort to plan ahead, you could be successful in avoiding temptations and poor health decisions throughout your week.
1. Change for the Gym at work
Packing your gym bag and throwing it in the back of your trunk may not be enough to keep you from driving right past the gym on your way home from work. "Change into your workout clothes in the bathroom as you are leaving work," suggests H3 Fitness Instructor, Chris Varano. "If you are already dressed in the car then you will be more motivated to actually go to they gym and workout." Make sure you include a healthy snack or fit bite in your gym bag and a bottle of water. Staying hydrated and energized will also help avoid the risk of skipping out on the gym.
2. Eat Healthy Snacks
Healthy snack options not only prepare you for your afternoon workout but they also help assure that you do not over indulge yourself at each meal. "By including healthy and nutritious snacks throughout your day, you are able to ward off hunger and are less likely to overeat unhealthy food," said Chris. 3. Choose the Right Company
"Working out with friends who keep you motivated will increase your chances of success," said Chris. Staying active and healthy can only be achievable if you incorporate your healthy choices into every aspect of your daily life. Include your friends and family into your workouts or healthy eating by choosing active activities and healthier dining options to assure your goals are not squashed every weekend.
