Spoonful of Nutrition: Food Checklist

Tracking the food you eat in a day can be tedious and tracking apps can be an influx of nutrition information that can be confusing. We can get in the weeds when it comes to how much nutrition you are getting. Using the checklist, link below, write the foods that you want to eat on a daily basis that fall within the definition of “healthy eating,” such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, fish, and nuts. Decide how many times you want to eat them throughout the day and voila you have just created a daily food checklist.

What I like about the H3 downloadable worksheet is that you can make it your own checklist with your food preferences on it. Once you have your checklist, post it on the fridge or somewhere visible so you have a reminder of what your food goals are for the day.

If you like using apps, try Dr. Greger’s Daily Dozen app on iTunes or Google Play, created by Dr. Michael Greger. He provides you with an easy to use checklist at your fingertips.
