That’s why we have a team of world-class fitness experts who are always on hand to offer tips and demonstrations. In today’s post, David from the Body Mind Studio shows us how to get the most out of our squats by using proper form. He also gives us one simple trick that will help activate the gluteus medius and prevent knee pain. Read on for more!
Many of us have experienced knee pain when doing squats. This is often because we are not activating our gluteus medius – one of the key muscles responsible for stabilizing the hip. To ensure that you are activating your gluteus medius, David recommends pushing your knee into his finger as you squat. This simple trick will help you avoid knee pain and improve your squat form overall.
Why Are Squats Beneficial?
Aside from helping to prevent injuries, squats offer a number of other benefits. They are great for building strength and can be adapted to suit all fitness levels. Additionally, squats can help improve your balance and flexibility. So, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned exerciser, make sure to incorporate squats into your routine!
Here are some more reasons to practice your squats with the correct form:
1. Squats are a great way to strengthen and tone your glutes, hamstrings, and quads.
2. They help improve your balance and coordination.
3. Squats are one of the best exercises for overall body strength and conditioning.
4. They burn calories and help you lose weight or maintain a healthy weight.
5. They can help prevent injuries in other activities.
6. Squats are an effective way to increase hip mobility and flexibility.
