    The H3 at Home Wellness and Weight Loss Coach provides accountability and motivation to their assigned clients. For each client, the coach is responsible for twice monthly, one-on-one coaching calls for the entirety of each client’s contract with the coach. The coach is also responsible for hosting one group coaching call per week per 10 clients. The role of the coach is to provide guidance, support, and structure around helping the client develop a healthy lifestyle vision built around behavioral-based SMART goals. As a remote coach, this person is expected to understand the structure and content of the programs developed by H3 at Home to best support the success of the client. The person in this role understands their scope of practice and feels comfortable with referring out to other team members when necessary. Coaching is not psychotherapy or a replacement for psychotherapy. It is goal-directed in the areas of fitness, eating behaviors, mindfulness, motivation, and overall wellness.

    Responsibilities include but may not be limited to;

    • Twice monthly coaching sessions with each client (30 minutes/session)
    • Weekly group coaching sessions (1 hour/week up to 10 clients per group)
    • Attending team meetings on a monthly basis
    • Facilitate healthy lifestyle vision discovery sessions
    • Facilitate SMART goal setting with clients related to fitness, nutrition, and healthy habits
    • Understanding of how to use the Learning Management System (LMS) to support the clients
    • Understanding of the H3 at Home course materials
    • On-going e-mail and messaging support for the client as needed between phone calls
    • Note-taking and record-keeping of clients’ aspirations, goals, and challenges
    • Allotting availability to answer phone calls for prospective clients
    • Working closely with the Hilton Head Health program team to help clients achieve their goals
    • Coordinate necessary referrals for client needs outside of the coach’s scope of practice, skill-set, and experience
    • Maintaining relevant Continued Education for the position

    Equipment/Environment Requirements:

    • Must have a reliable computer for zoom calls as well a cell phone with cellphone service
    • Must maintain a reliable source of internet connection
    • Must have access to a clean environment, free from interruptions for video coaching calls
